1About these Terms

ExpatsDeals ("we", "us") runs an online marketplace at expatsdeals.com where people living in the United Arab Emirates can list items and services and contact each other. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and us when you visit or use the site.

By creating an account, posting a listing, sending a message or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms, our Rules and Prohibited Items, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2Who can use ExpatsDeals

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
• You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
• You may have one account. Please do not create extra accounts to get around our limits or after being removed.
• You are responsible for your password and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

3What we do, and what we do not do

ExpatsDeals is a place where buyers and sellers meet. We are not a party to any sale, rental or service agreement between users, and we do not own, inspect, store, deliver or guarantee any item or service listed.

We review new listings and use automated checks to reduce spam and fake listings, but we cannot check every listing, photo or user. A "Verified seller" badge only means that the checks shown to you have been completed. It is not a guarantee about the seller or the item.

Any deal you make is between you and the other person. Please read our Safety Tips before you meet or pay anyone.

4Posting listings

When you post a listing you promise that:

• you own the item, or you are allowed to sell it or offer the service;
• the title, price, photos and description are honest, accurate and not misleading;
• the photos are your own, or you have the right to use them;
• the item or service is allowed under our Rules and Prohibited Items and under UAE law;
• you have not posted the same item more than once.

Listings must not include phone numbers, email addresses, links or social media handles in the title or description. Posting limits apply, such as a number of new listings per day and a number of active listings at one time, and we may change these limits.

New and changed listings may be reviewed before they appear. A listing stays live for 30 days unless you renew it, and a listing with a leaving date may end automatically if it is not updated after that date. You can end, edit or mark a listing as sold at any time from My Account.

5Prohibited items and behaviour

You must follow our Rules and Prohibited Items. In particular, you must not:

• list illegal, stolen, counterfeit or dangerous items, or anything else on our prohibited list;
• scam, mislead or pressure other users, or ask for payment before the buyer has seen the item;
• send spam, advertising or repeated unwanted messages;
• harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone;
• copy, scrape or collect listings or user details with automated tools;
• try to break, overload or get around the security, limits or review checks of the site;
• pretend to be another person or to represent ExpatsDeals.

6Messages and meeting other users

Logged-in members can send a message to a seller. We pass the message to the seller by email, and the seller can reply to you directly. If a seller chooses to show Call and WhatsApp buttons, logged-in members can use them.

You are responsible for how you deal with other users, including where you meet and how you pay. Please follow our Safety Tips.

7Payments and fees

Posting and browsing are free. ExpatsDeals does not take, hold or handle payments between users. We will never ask you for your bank card details, passwords or one-time codes.

If we introduce paid features in the future, we will tell you clearly before you are charged, and these Terms will be updated.

8Your content and our rights to use it

You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. By posting, you give us a free, non-exclusive right to store, resize, display and promote your content on and around ExpatsDeals so that we can run the service. This right ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies that remain for a short time in backups or that other users have already received by email.

The ExpatsDeals name, logo, design and software belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission.

9Reports, removal and suspension

Anyone logged in can report a listing. A listing with several reports may be hidden until we have checked it.

We may refuse, hide or remove any listing, message or content, and we may limit, suspend or close any account, if we believe these Terms or the Rules have been broken, if the law requires it, or if it is needed to protect other users or the site. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem. If you think we got it wrong, contact us.

10Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in My Account, under Settings. When you do, we delete your listings, photos and saved items, as explained in our Privacy Policy. You can stop using the site at any time. These Terms continue to apply to anything that happened before your account ended.

11Our service "as is"

We work hard to keep ExpatsDeals running and safe, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that the site will always work without errors or interruptions, or that listings, descriptions, prices or users will be accurate, lawful or trustworthy.

12Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, ExpatsDeals is not responsible for the items or services listed, for what users post or do, for any deal, payment, meeting or dispute between users, or for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms. Our total responsibility to you for any claim related to the site is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the previous 12 months, which is currently nothing.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any responsibility or right that cannot be removed or limited under UAE law.

13Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top, and for important changes we will give you notice on the site or by email. If you keep using ExpatsDeals after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate where we are established. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates, unless the law says otherwise.
